We were in Minnesota testing the new 210 grain HAMMERHEAD bullet. "The buck hit the field at about 80 yards but trotted directly towards the 13 feeding does several hundred yards away. I patiently followed him in my Ashley sights hoping he would stop and give me a shooting opportunity. He finally stopped at 144 yards. The double set triggers were set and the flint was cocked. A soft touch of the 6 oz. trigger sent the little bullet on it's way. I heard the bullet hit and as the smoke cleared, I saw the buck attempt to regain his feet. He took seven steps and did not move again."

The bullet was recovered against the hide on the opposite side after going through both shoulders, the lungs and the heart. The recovered bullet measured .863" in diameter, .224" thick and weighed 210 grains.

This buck was shot at 215 yards with a 1" high at 100 yard site setting. The crosshair was still on fur at 215 yards!

Quite the reward for a couple of years of research and development. This shot represents the first shot taken by myself at a game animal with the .40s. It's not the biggest deer that I've shot but it may be the prettiest.
